a new creative challenge. "
Imen Haddad is a Tunisian campaigner, creative designer and digital artist. She discovered her passion for advocacy through visual storytelling while exploring her African identity at African Leadership Academy South Africa. At NYU, she pursued a B.A. in Film and New Media with a minor on Social Research and Public Policy.
Imen has been exposed to multicultural and interdisciplinary ethos which combine academic research with technical film knowledge. Her education and career span five continents, she has 10+ years of experience working across various industries and has managed campaigns for world-renowned NGO & CSOs.
As a film student, Imen produced films addressing topics such as The Asian Ugandan Exile by Idi Amin in 1972 and the evolution of protest culture post the Arab Spring. She is a self-taught digital artist, this newly discovered craft was her escapism during the COVID-19 pandemic. Over the past four years, she has explored the interplay between moments of struggle and freedom, used digital art to create avenues of African symbol revival and collaborated with her clients to conceptualise engaging digital campaigns.
She is the founder and creative designer behind Rasmi Studio, a production and design studio as well as a lifestyle apparel brand focused on creating African-inspired products and experiences. Rasmi is expanding as a creative studio to evolve into a collaborative platform for her fellow African entrepreneurs and creatives.
